KOI and LILIES
Fused glass plate, 8″ diameter.
Two firings in the kiln, one to tack all glass together and the second to slump the plate into the molded shape.
The iridescent glass on the dark koi crinkled in the kiln, bringing out more vibrancy, color variation, and texture.
PARTIAL ICOSAHEDRON
Convex regular icosahedra are composed of 30 edges and 20 equilateral triangle faces.
Here each equilateral triangular face is cut from art glass, edged with copper tape, and soldered together.
However, five faces (which meet at one vertex) are omitted, providing a pentagonal opening.
PLANTER BOTTLE
This snake plant has been living in this same bottle now for over a decade.
